A new pilot program for Home Based Care The Ministry of Labor, Health and Social Affairs of Georgia is launching a new pilot program for home based care in October. Children with profound and severe mental and physical disabilities will receive services of specialists at home to develop their psychological, social, self-care and communication skills.

Fathers Day

The Participation of Fathers in Childrens Development: Fathers Day in the FSG Early Intervention Program

The role of fathers in the process of child development is just as important as that of mothers. A child is particularly successful when he or she feels the support and the warmth of both parents, and their unity and strength can contribute greatly to a child's future achievements. First Step Georgia is trying to increase fathers' involvement and help them understand the important role they play in their childrens development. A unique Fathers Day event was held by the FSG Early Intervention Program that included amusing competitions and entertaining activities with prizes and certificates. First Step Georgia plans to continue this tradition of celebrating Fathers' Day.
