Regarding the following video:

First Step Georgia DOES NOT claim that we (or anyone) can offer developmental results like those that Carly shows. We do not endorse the idea or suggest that every child can or will develop and change as Carly has done.

We include this as an alternative way of understanding autism - from Carly's perspecitve.   The video shows that Carly is an intelligent girl who seems to be functioning within a body that that does not work in the way that most of us take for granted every single day.

Her ability to explain the classic symptoms of autistic behavior may be heart and mind changing.
