This programme enhances the opportunities of individuals on our residential and education programmes for social integration via vocational training and employment. A number of young people have been employed at various places including McDonalds, a greenhouse, the Hippodrome stables, ceramic workshops, a publishing house and First Step Georgia’s office.
First Step Georgia also supports four young people living independently in an apartment under the supervision of round-the-clock caregivers. They all work, are fully integrated into society and share responsibility for the apartment with their caregivers.

$34 per month gives 1 young person a place at the Workshop “Social Therapy House” where they learn to use copy machines and make textbooks
